Free Museums on Inauguration Day/Concert 4 America~

In a bold reminder that culture should remain accessible to all (and in direct opposition to the J20 Art Strike), many of New York’s museums are open and free (or pay-what-you-wish) today. The list includes the following:

Bard Grad Center Gallery, 18 West 86th Street

Brooklyn Museum, 200 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn

Children’s Museum of the Arts, 103 Charlton Street

Museum of Arts and Design, 2 Columbus Circle

Museum of Chinese in America, 215 Centre Street

Museum of the Moving Image, 36-01 35th Avenue, Astoria

New York Historical Society Museum and Library, 170 Central Park West

New Museum, 235 Bowery

Rubin Museum of Art, 150 West 17th Street

Whitney Museum of American Art, 99 Gansevoort Street

Many of these institutions have exhibits, readings, and film screenings appropriate to the day.

In addition, at 3:00pm today, you can catch the Concert 4 America (live-streamed from Town Hall HERE), which features many of Broadway’s biggest performers in a musical reminder of the diversity that actually makes America great.

With peace and love,
