You know how much I love free films, don’t you? Well, plenty of the films at the Tribeca Film Festival, which runs from April 13th to April 24th, are not free, but there are a whole bunch that are. There are two ways to get free tickets:
- Through tomorrow, visit a participating AT&T store and sign up on the devices provided. You just enter your email address and submit your request. Done!
- After the AT&T tickets have been claimed, any remaining tickets will be made available on tribecafilm.com on Friday, April 8th, so be sure to take a look there.
Unfortunately, it looks like the powers that be (Robert DeNiro?) have eliminated the beloved Tribeca Drive-In. These were free, outdoor screenings of classic films such as Clue, which I enjoyed last April despite the fact that the temperature was in the 50’s and the wind coming off the Hudson could best be described as oft-fierce. While the pre-screening activities included a delightful murder-themed game for children, there wasn’t any free popcorn, so maybe it’s not that much of a loss.
